International Day of Persons with Disabilities Parade and Celebrations

Disabled Week Parade March
May 16th, the Disabled Week, was enthusiastically celebrated with a parade march organized in Düzce. Governor Selçuk Aslan, AK Party Düzce Deputy Ercan Öztürk, and many other important figures participated in the march. The march, which started in front of Düzce Municipality, ended at Anıtpark Square.
Governor Selçuk Aslan’s Speech
Speaking at the program held after the march, Governor Selçuk Aslan emphasized that everyone is a potential disabled person, stating, “When we learn love, no difficulty can discourage us. The smiles on the faces of our disabled siblings remind us of the meaning of life.”
Efforts for People with Disabilities
Governor Aslan highlighted the significant progress made in services provided to disabled individuals, stating, “Our state’s support for disabled citizens is increasing every day. However, we still have a lot of work to do. We must work more to make the lives of disabled individuals easier.”
Musical Show and Exhibition
The musical show prepared by special students at the program received great interest. Afterwards, celebrations continued with an art exhibition and concert by students from Düzce Fine Arts High School.
