Intense Interest in the New Curriculum Draft by the Ministry of National Education (MEB)

The ‘Turkey Century Education Model’ new curriculum draft presented to the public by the Ministry of National Education (MEB) between April 26 and May 10 received great interest. While 67,284 views and suggestions were submitted for the draft, it was also downloaded 1,662,780 times.

Extension of Display Period

MEB announced and suspended the new curriculum draft for all education levels to the public on April 26. The display period, initially planned for 1 week, was extended until May 10 due to the increase in views and suggestions.

Evaluation Process

Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin invited all education stakeholders to contribute to the draft. The 67,284 views and suggestions received for the draft will be meticulously evaluated by the MEB Board of Education.

Implementation Process

The new curriculum draft of MEB will be gradually implemented starting from the 2024-2025 academic year in preschool, first grade of primary school, fifth grade of middle school, and ninth grade of high school. The draft will take its final form after the completion of the evaluation processes.
