According to the data of the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), industrial production in March 2024 increased by 4.3 percent annually. The mining and quarrying sector index increased by 7.5 percent, the manufacturing industry sector index by 4 percent, and the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning production and distribution sector index by 5.1 percent.
Monthly Decline Observed
During the same period, industrial production decreased by 0.3 percent on a monthly basis. While the mining and quarrying sector index showed an increase of 0.2 percent, the manufacturing industry sector index experienced a decrease of 0.3 percent. The electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning production and distribution sector index decreased by 1.5 percent.
