Educators Raised Their Voices Against Violence
Educators are coming together and raising their voices against violence! Educators who are fighting for a safe and healthy environment in the field of education set an example for the society.
Educational unions gathered in front of the Diyarbakır Provincial Directorate of National Education to draw attention to the violence against educators. Members of Turkish Education Union and Education and Science Workers’ Union (Eğitim-Bir-Sen) conducted a press release by chanting slogans in front of the directorate building located in the central Kayapınar district.

The President of the Turkish Education Union Diyarbakır Branch, Ahmet Bürhan, expressed his condolences to his colleagues regarding the killing of school principal İbrahim Oktugan by a student with a gun in the Eyüp Sultan district of Istanbul. Bürhan emphasized the need for more effective measures to prevent the increasing violence incidents in schools.
