Workers at Durak Textile in Bursa decided to join the Independent Textile Workers’ Union about 8 months ago. However, their employer tried to prevent them from joining the union.

Workers Faced Pressure and Layoffs

The workers who joined the union faced pressure from the employer, and 6 workers were laid off. In response, the workers started a strike in front of the factory.
