In collaboration with Atatürk University Faculty of Tourism and Oltu Vocational School, the ‘Districts Gastronomy Inventory Workshop (Aşkale-Çat)’ event held at Aşkale Vocational School highlighted the rich gastronomy heritage of the district.

The program took place at the Meeting Hall of Aşkale Vocational School Directorate, and was attended by the Mayor Şenol Polat, Vocational School Director Mutlu Kundakçı, political party representatives, City Promotion Specialist Canan Şimşek from Erzurum Metropolitan Municipality, department heads, village heads, and students who showed great interest.

During the workshop, the district’s local dishes, authentic products, edible wild plants and mushrooms, local producers, farms, the contribution of female producers, agriculture and food products, forgotten values, and marketable products were discussed in detail. Participants exchanged ideas on the promotion and preservation of district-specific flavors, concluding the workshop productively.
