Dr. Hans Kluge, the WHO Regional Director for Europe, thanked Turkey for the evacuation and treatment of cancer patients from Gaza. Kluge expressed his gratitude to the Turkish people and government for their efforts in evacuating children with cancer from Gaza.
Visit to Family Health Centers in Adıyaman
Dr. Hans Kluge, the WHO Regional Director for Europe, visited the family health centers built in Malazgirt and Yeşilyurt neighborhoods of Adıyaman. He inspected the sections of the center, such as doctor’s offices, laboratories, and examination rooms, which are nearing completion, and received information about the work. The center is expected to start serving the public in approximately 1 month.
Emphasizing the situation in Gaza and global health measures, Kluge stated that preventive measures should be prioritized to prevent the population from falling ill. He highlighted that cooperation with Turkey in healthcare will continue.
Dr. Kluge also provided important recommendations on reducing tobacco and alcohol consumption, engaging in regular physical activities, and controlling fat intake for a healthy lifestyle.
