Statement on Credit Rating Increase by Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek:

Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek stated, “International credit rating agency Standard & Poor’s (S&P) raised our country’s credit rating by 1 notch after 11 years while maintaining a positive outlook. This development has been evaluated in line with the strong performance of the Turkish economy and its stable growth trend. In addition to S&P, the positive credit rating outlooks of Fitch and Moody’s are indicative of confidence in the country’s economy and a positive sign for the continuation of credit rating upgrades,” he said.
