The 3D Ablation procedure performed at Izmir University of Economics Medical Point Hospital restored the health of 84-year-old Serap Arak, who had been struggling with severe palpitations for 5 years. Serap Arak stated that her heart’s sound has returned to normal and said, ‘I feel very good now.’
Heart Rhythm Regulated with Ablation Procedure
Suffering from heart rhythm disorder and severe palpitation complaints, Serap Arak applied to Izmir University of Economics Medical Point Hospital Cardiology Department, where she regained her health thanks to the intervention by Assoc. Dr. Mustafa Doğduş and his team. With the 3D mapping method, Serap Arak’s heart rhythm was regulated through the ablation procedure, and her palpitation complaint ended.
- Assoc. Dr. Mustafa Doğduş from IEU Medical Point Hospital Cardiology Department stated that Serap Arak had been experiencing palpitation complaints for 5 years and that this condition could lead to heart failure.
- Serap Arak mentioned that she had to use intensive medication and visited the hospital as her palpitations increased.

Assoc. Dr. Mustafa Doğduş said the following about the ablation procedure performed on Serap Arak: ‘The ablation procedure is the process of finding and burning the target causing arrhythmia inside the heart with thin flexible cable-like materials. After this procedure, our patient’s heart rhythm improved, and the palpitation complaint ended.’
- Serap Arak expressed that her heart beats normally now and she feels very well, saying, ‘I heard the normal sound of my heart after 5 years.’
- Experiencing shortness of breath due to severe palpitations, Serap Arak emphasized that her complaints were completely resolved after the procedure.
