Piyade Astsubay Kıdemli Çavuş Ata Göçmen, 26 years old, who was martyred as a result of a lightning strike in the Claw-Lock Operation area, was bid farewell to his final journey after the funeral ceremony held in Ankara.
Martyr Göçmen was injured as a result of the lightning strike, taken to the hospital, but despite all interventions, he could not be saved and became a martyr. National Defense Minister Yaşar Güler, Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç, Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdülkadir Uraloğlu, Chief of General Staff General Metin Gürak, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, MHP Deputy Chairman Mevlüt Karakaya, GOOD Party Ankara Deputy Kürşad Zorlu, and many deputies and citizens attended the funeral ceremony held at Ahmet Hamdi Akseki Mosque, along with the martyr’s family and relatives.
After the ceremony, Martyr Göçmen’s body was bid farewell with prayers to be buried in Cebeci Military Martyrdom.
