Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç announced that they have taken important steps to facilitate access to justice services. Minister Tunç stated that a total of 2,449 new courts have been established, with 504 of these courts located in earthquake-prone areas.
Minister Tunç shared the following statements on his social media account: “In order to ensure justice without delay and to conclude legal proceedings within a reasonable time, we have established a total of 2,449 new courts, including 504 in earthquake-prone areas. In this context, various courts have been put into service, including 18 heavy penal courts, 203 criminal courts of first instance, 9 enforcement judgeships, 6 peace criminal judgeships, 137 civil courts of first instance, 4 commercial courts of first instance, 62 peace civil courts, 40 family courts, 3 enforcement courts, 20 labor courts, 8 consumer courts, 1 juvenile heavy penal court, and 1 juvenile court. I wish our new courts to be beneficial to our nation and judiciary organization.”
