Disabled Citizens and Their Mothers Had Fun Painting Ceramics
Disabled citizens and their mothers came together and had a fun time painting ceramics. In this special event, they had the opportunity to spend time together and had a enjoyable day.

In Hatay’s Iskenderun district, on the eve of Mother’s Day, various organizations organized an event where disabled citizens and their mothers enjoyed a pleasant activity, amidst the heavy damage caused by earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaras.
Engelliyim Engel Tanımam Derneği, located in the Suleymaniye neighborhood of Iskenderun district, brought together disabled individuals and their mothers by organizing a special event. Within the scope of the event, individuals with Down syndrome, intellectual disabilities, and special needs, along with their mothers, spent a delightful time drawing and painting on ceramic tiles.
Kamil Göçmen, who is 90% disabled and the President of Engelliyim Engel Tanımam Derneği, stated in relation to the event, “We organized a ceramic painting activity with disabled individuals and their mothers with the support of the Turkish Down Syndrome Association. We wanted to leave them a special memory before Mother’s Day.”.
Disabled individual Tuğba Çengel (22) expressed her happiness with the following words: “Happy Mother’s Day, mom! We made a beautiful gift for you. I hope you like it, my dear beautiful mother.”.
