Village Adventure Playground: A Fun Place Where Children Connect with Nature

In the village of Ormanlı, connected to Artvin center, a ‘Survivor’ style sports course named ‘Köyvayvır’ was created to prevent children from staying at home and spending time on their phones during holidays, attracting the interest of citizens of all ages, especially children.

Sports Course Located in the Forest

In Ormanlı Village connected to the center, a sports course was established by brothers Ayhan and İbrahim Kırçiçek in a traffic-free area within the forest. The course, consisting of 12 obstacles in an area of about 100 meters, enables children competing among themselves to have a pleasant time.

A Special Project for the Family

İbrahim Kırçiçek, explaining the story of the course’s creation, stated, ‘Our family is very large. During the Eid al-Fitr holiday, we gathered and saw that the children were constantly spending time with phones and tablets. We thought we needed to do something to keep them away from these technological devices. That’s why we decided to create a Survivor-style course.’

Entertainment in Harmony with Nature

Cengiz Kırçiçek said, ‘We developed this project to do a different activity in the forest. Our goal is to have fun, introduce our village, and offer different activities to the youth. We welcome young people from neighboring cities and towns.’

Excitement of the Children

Şeyma Kırçiçek, a 9-year-old competing on the course, said, ‘In our free time, we come with our relatives and friends to race on the course. It’s an exciting experience. I enjoy racing with my friends, sometimes it’s challenging, but very fun.’
