In Hatay, as part of the ‘Forest is Mine’ campaign organized to prevent forest fires nationwide and reduce the number of fires, a tree planting activity was carried out in the Karahüseyinli area of the Arsuz district. The event was attended by İskenderun District Governor Murat Sefa Demir Yürek, Belen District Governor Mahmut Sami Yılmaz, İskenderun Mayor Mehmet Dönmez, İskenderun Forest Management Director Abubekir Yaylagül, and students.
Şeyma Ayşe Kaya Leaves a Memory with Every Tree She Plants
Şeyma Ayşe Kaya (28), who participated in the tree planting, stated that tree planting was carried out within the scope of the ‘Forest is Mine’ project conducted by the General Directorate of Forestry, and said that she leaves a memory of herself with every tree she plants. Kaya mentioned that she left her bracelet on the tree she planted today.
