The Dance of Seasons in Ardahan

As spring arrives in Ardahan, the plain turning green and the snow-capped mountains exhibit a magnificent harmony. During this period when the temperature is above seasonal norms, the mountains covered with a white blanket surrounding the city along with the colorful flowers blooming in the plain create a natural wonder.

This scenery, which attracts many visitors especially photography enthusiasts, presents a postcard-like view. Thanks to Ardahan’s unique climate conditions, the fact that the snow has not yet melted even in May distinguishes this place. The coexistence of two seasons of nature in this region, where winter months are long, leaves the onlookers in awe.

Ardahan resident Hamza Aykut Yıldız describes these natural beauties as ‘the unique features of Ardahan,’ stating, ‘The meeting of green and white is like a painting. One of the points where everyone who comes here wants to take photos. This scenery, resembling something out of postcards, reflects the unique nature of Ardahan in the best way possible,’ he says.
