Sudden Rain in Adana Negatively Impacted Daily Life

While sunny weather dominated the city until noon, life in Adana was adversely affected in the afternoon due to a sudden rain. Some citizens were caught unprepared for the rain and got wet. Those caught unprepared for the rain took shelter under the buildings or preferred to walk in the rain.

The rain, which lasted about 25 minutes, turned the roads into lakes in Gülbahçesi, Uçak, Kocavezir, and Güzelevler Mahallesi in Seyhan and Yüreğir districts due to the effect of the wind. In Gülbahçesi Mahallesi, children coming out of school had to go home through the flooded road. In Güzelevler Mahallesi, citizens tried to drain the water on the road.

After the rain, sunny weather prevailed, while it was learned that the convective rainfall known as ‘kırkikindi’ among the people in Adana will continue until Monday. Meteorology announced that tomorrow, rain accompanied by strong winds is expected in the morning and a storm is expected at sea. Additionally, despite the rain, Adana will have a muggy atmosphere due to high humidity.
