Students Solving Electricity Issue After Earthquake

In Adana, following the earthquake on February 6 centered in Kahramanmaraş, where there was a power outage causing communication problems for the residents, students from Kozan Vocational High School developed a solar-powered charger for those affected. The students, who observed the hardships faced by the earthquake victims, aim to provide a solution with their project.
Project Details and Objective
Students from the Electrical Department of Martyr Arda Can Kozan Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School realized the solar-powered charging station project, taking into consideration the power outages and communication difficulties. The main objective of the project is to meet the communication needs of citizens in disaster and power outage situations.
Proud Moments of the Students
Bünyamin Akbulut, the Principal of Martyr Arda Can Kozan Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, expressed pride in the success of the students and emphasized the importance of communication. He stated that developing practical projects in the field of education increases young people’s contribution to technology.
Students’ Goals for the Future
Hüseyin Özcanlı, the chief of electrical electronics technology, provided information about the capacity and functionality of the charging station developed by the students, mentioning that the youth aim to reach more people in disaster areas. Among the future plans of the students is to advance technology further to benefit society.
