The Minister of Family and Social Services, Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, fulfilled her promise to martyr’s daughter Elif Naz Öztürk on April 23rd National Sovereignty and Children’s Day by making a surprise visit to their family’s home.
During the event held on April 23rd, Minister Göktaş, who handed over the ministry seat to Elif Naz, the daughter of retired colonel and contract pilot Levent Öztürk who was martyred, visited the Öztürk Family’s home in the Yenimahalle district to fulfill the promised visit.
Minister Göktaş, who showed great interest in Elif Naz and Ülkü Nehir, the children of the martyr’s wife Mehtap Öztürk, shared her feelings during the visit, saying, “We are always with the precious legacies of our martyrs, your valuable families.”
Touched by the warm welcome of the Öztürk Family, Minister Göktaş expressed, “Your visit made us very happy. We have always felt your presence by our side, never felt alone.”
Learning that Elif Naz attends piano lessons, Minister Göktaş arranged a small piano performance to support her during the visit.
