The Sivas Cumhuriyet University Veterinary Hospital is drawing attention with the rapidly increasing number of patients in recent times. Hospital Chief Physician Abdurrahman Takcı stated, ‘There has been a rapid increase in the number of patients in 2024. After the pandemic, people acquired a lot of pet animals. We can say that there is no longer anyone without a cat or dog. As a result, citizens showed interest in our hospital, where more comprehensive and better research is conducted in the region. Consequently, our number of patients has also increased.’

Increase in Number of Patients Draws Attention

The Sivas Veterinary Hospital has become one of the region’s most important animal health centers with the increasing number of patients in recent years. The hospital, which has been providing services since 2011, provided health services to around 2,500 animals in 2021 and 2022, while last year this number significantly increased to treat nearly 4,500 pet animals and over a thousand farm animals. The hospital, which has become a reliable address for animal owners in the region, attracted attention with its comprehensive services and expert staff.

Sivas Cumhuriyet University Veterinary Hospital Chief Physician Abdurrahman Takcı stated that they have acquired various devices to provide better service in the region, saying, ‘In terms of services provided in our region, we have reached a very comprehensive point in Turkey. Our hospital is highly popular among Sivas and neighboring provinces. While people used to take patients to neighboring provinces before, now patients from neighboring provinces come to our hospital intensively.’

Comprehensive Services and Variety

Chief Physician Takcı expressed that the animal hospital is gradually becoming recognized, saying, ‘We have been taking care of patients since 2011. Our diversity of patients and the number of patients increase every day. In the years 2021-2022, we had an average of around 2,500 patients. As of last year, we treated approximately 4,500 pet animals and close to a thousand farm animals, including cows, sheep, and goats. Our animal hospital is gradually becoming recognized. Consequently, livestock breeders bring their problematic animals, both large and small livestock, here. We conduct research on the animal brought and provide herd-based treatment. Our hospital has started to receive significant attention in this regard. We treat animal owners’ animals. They share their experiences here with other breeders. As a result, our number of patients is increasing day by day. Along with that, many different exotic animal species, from snails to turtles, from turtles to lovebirds, are also coming. Our portfolio has diversified significantly.’
