Konya Governor Vahdettin Özkan and Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay attended a rain prayer at the historic Namazgah located within the Musalla Cemetery after the Friday prayer. The prayer, led by Konya Provincial Mufti Ali Öge, took place following the Friday prayer, which was attended by hundreds of residents of Konya. Participants raised their hands to the sky and said ‘amen’ to the prayer.
Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay emphasized the need for the blessings of rain, saying, ‘May Allah accept our prayers.’ In addition to Konya Governor Vahdettin Özkan, the rain prayer was also attended by Karatay Municipality Mayor Hasan Kılca, Meram Municipality Mayor Mustafa Kavuş, Selçuklu Municipality Deputy Mayor Ali İmran Arıtan, and hundreds of residents of Konya.
