Özhaseki: ‘Livelihood Period Has Begun’

The Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, Mehmet Özhaseki, stated that the works are rapidly continuing in the earthquake region Malatya, saying, ‘Election ends, livelihood begins. Now is the period of working tirelessly.’

Minister Özhaseki’s Visit to Malatya

Attending a series of meetings in Malatya, Minister Özhaseki visited Malatya Metropolitan Municipality and congratulated the newly elected Mayor Sami Er. Emphasizing respect for the election results, Özhaseki stated that deficiencies need to be addressed promptly.

Post-Earthquake Efforts

Recalling the devastating Kahramanmaraş earthquake on February 6, 2023, Minister Özhaseki highlighted that Turkey faced a major disaster, with 850 thousand independent units being destroyed. He mentioned intense efforts to address the damages following the earthquake, stating that construction of earthquake houses in Malatya started rapidly and continued in other districts as well.

Özhaseki: ‘There is a solution to everything, rest assured. We will overcome these damages in no time. We set out with good intentions, and with the support of our citizens, we will tackle the problems.’
