The Ministry of Culture and Tourism made an official statement on the incident of pouring concrete on the ancient road in the district of Karpuzlu in Aydın through its official social media accounts. The Ministry announced that the unauthorized application will be removed immediately and the public will be informed about the issue.
Preservation of Cultural Heritage
In the statement made by the General Directorate of Cultural Assets and Museums of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism on social media accounts, information about the developments regarding the Ancient Karia Road in the district of Karpuzlu in Aydın was provided. It was stated that, in line with the decision of the Aydın Cultural Heritage Conservation Regional Board, it was decided to immediately remove the unauthorized application and warn the relevant authorities.
The statement made by Aydın Museum Directorate indicated that communication was established with the municipality regarding the issue and emphasized that unauthorized applications will be eradicated as soon as possible. Thanks were expressed to all citizens showing sensitivity towards the preservation of cultural heritage.
