Ministry of Culture and Tourism Announced Its Support for the Cinema Industry

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism announced its support for scenario and dialogue writing, short film production, short animation film production, and domestic film screening projects for the year 2024. As a result of the evaluation made by the Ministry, a total of 147 projects will receive a support of 34 million 556 thousand Turkish Liras.

Within this scope; 23 scenario and dialogue writing projects will receive 1 million 840 thousand liras, 28 short film production projects will receive 3 million 846 thousand liras, 9 short animation film production projects will receive 935 thousand liras, and 87 domestic film screening projects will receive 27 million 935 thousand liras of support.

The Ministry will evaluate documentary film production applications in April, and applications for post-production, distribution, promotion, as well as applications for the genres of first feature film production, co-production, and feature-length cinema film production in May.

Support for Cinema Theatres 27.9 Million Liras

The Ministry will provide support of 27 million 935 thousand liras to 108 cinema theatres in the applied cities. These support decisions can be accessed on the official website of the Cinema General Directorate.
