The Teşrif-i Konya events organized by the Konya Metropolitan Municipality started enthusiastically within the celebrations of the 796th anniversary of the arrival of Hazreti Mevlana and his family to Konya. The events held annually were enriched this time with Turkish Stars and Solo Turk aerobatic displays. The breathtaking air shows were a meaningful event that thousands of citizens watched with great interest.
Representative Welcome Ceremony at Mevlana Square
At the representative welcome ceremony held at Mevlana Square, a special Teşrif-i Konya performance was staged by the Konya Metropolitan Municipality City Theater. The play depicting the arrival of Hazreti Mevlana and his family to Konya received full marks from the audience. At the end of the program, the aerobatic teams affiliated with the Turkish Air Force, Turkish Stars and Solo Turk, received a great applause by delivering an unforgettable show.
Events to Continue for 3 Days
The events will continue for 3 days at the Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mevlana Cultural Center. Among the activities included in the program are the Urfa Hymns Concert on Saturday, May 4th at 7:30 pm and the Balkan Hymns Concert scheduled for Sunday, May 5th at the same time. In addition, visitors will have the opportunity to visit the ‘Teşrif-i Mevlana Calligraphy Exhibition’ throughout the event.
