Jandarma Non-Commissioned Officer Mustafa Yaşar, who was martyred in Erzurum, was bid farewell to his final journey after his struggle for his homeland. As Turkey bids farewell to another martyr, feelings of unity and togetherness rose once again.

Last year, Senior Gendarmerie First Sergeant Mustafa Yaşar, who was on duty at the Pasinler District Gendarmerie Command in Erzurum, was injured and lost his life while intervening in a fight. Mustafa Yaşar was injured while intervening in a fight between families on July 3, 2023, in Taşağıl Mahallesi. Despite all the interventions made at Erzurum Atatürk University Education and Research Hospital where Yaşar was treated, he could not be saved and became a martyr.

Martyr Senior Gendarmerie First Sergeant Mustafa Yaşar was a father of 3 children. Yaşar’s funeral took place in Akbez Mahallesi of Hassa district in his hometown Hatay. Hatay Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mehmet Öntürk, provincial protocol, and citizens attended the funeral.

The martyr’s funeral was buried in Kılıçdede Cemetery after the funeral prayer held at Halil İbrahim Mosque. Gendarmerie First Sergeant Mustafa Yaşar, who served under the Turkish Armed Forces, will always be remembered for the struggle he gave for his country.
