As part of the ‘Forest is Mine’ campaign initiated by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Istanbul Governor Davut Gül joined children in Kemerburgaz Göktürk State Forest for a forest cleaning activity. During the event, besides collecting garbage, maintenance of the forest and precautions against fire were also taken.

Children Strengthened Their Environmental Awareness

Children who participated in the event were educated about collecting garbage thrown into nature and preserving the environment. Governor Gül, by collecting garbage with the children, emphasized the importance of love for nature and cleanliness awareness. At the end of the event, children learned to be more sensitive to their surroundings and forests.

Çınar Özdemir: “Let’s throw our garbage in the trash can. Throwing glass into nature can cause forest fires. Let’s throw our garbage in the trash can.”

Emir Özdemir: “We should not pollute nature. It is very important to collect garbage in forests. It is the responsibility of all of us to take action for a clean environment.”

Mehmet Çınar Öz: “Everyone should throw their garbage in the trash. Glasses can start fires due to the sun. Let’s not litter to protect our forests.”
