Hidden among high mountains in the Kozluk district of Batman, Garzan River hosts a magnificent nature tour with traditional boats.
Flowing between Akçakışla and Yenidoğan villages located at the foot of the 3,000-meter Mereto Mountain in the Kozluk district, Garzan River mesmerizes visitors with boat tours organized with traditional boats. During the 7-kilometer excursion on the clear waters accompanied by bird chirps, a peaceful break in nature is experienced.
Kozluk District Governor Ekrem Güngör, the host of the tour, stated that they are working to revitalize tourism on the Garzan River. Besides boat trips, plans are being made for larger tour boats in the region. He also mentioned that plans have started for sports activities such as rafting with boats and canoes in areas outside the river.
