Bahçeşehir University ranked 196th among 739 universities in the ‘2024 THE Asia Universities’ ranking announced by Times Higher Education (THE), the most prestigious ranking institution in the world, securing the 9th place in Turkey.
Ranked 4th Among BAU Foundation Universities
Bahçeşehir University has achieved the success of being ranked 4th among foundation universities in Turkey, proving to be one of the best foundation universities in the country.
75 Universities from Turkey Made it to the Ranking
A total of 75 universities from Turkey were included in the Times Higher Education Asia Universities ranking. Universities were evaluated based on teaching, research, industry relations, knowledge transfer, and international outlook criteria.

Prof. Dr. Esra Hatipoğlu, the President of Bahçeşehir University, stated in her remarks about the ranking results that the university is making steady progress towards its goal of becoming a research university.
President Hatipoğlu: “Bahçeşehir University ranked 196th in THE Asia 2024 Ranking, claiming the 4th place among Foundation Universities in Turkey. This success demonstrates how crucial our university’s research activities are. THE has enriched the research category criteria this year, evaluating research outputs, patents, international projects, and contributions to science. We are proud to be among the top 10 in Turkey in this field. I would also like to mention that we are among the youngest universities. I congratulate all my colleagues who contributed to this process.”
