Turkey has decided to stop all export and import transactions with Israel due to Israel’s attacks on Palestine and obstruction of humanitarian aid.
Explanation and Reasons
In a statement made by the Ministry of Trade, it was stated that ‘As it is known, as a result of Israel’s attacks on Palestine contrary to international law and human rights, more than 15,000 children and over 35,000 Palestinian civilians have lost their lives, and approximately 78,000 Palestinian citizens have been injured.’
Implementation Process of Restrictions
Since October 7, 2023, Turkey has made the highest level of efforts to stop the conflicts, prevent humanitarian losses and physical destruction, ensure a lasting ceasefire, and implement a two-state solution using all diplomatic means.
Collaboration and Coordination
Furthermore, necessary efforts are being coordinated between our Ministry of Trade and the Palestinian Ministry of National Economy to ensure that our Palestinian brothers living under occupation are not affected by these restrictions.
Determination and Support
The Republic of Turkey will continue to support the just cause of our Palestinian brothers as it has done so far.
