TKP’s Mehmet Fatih Maçoğlu’s Municipality Debts Increased Significantly

Mehmet Fatih Maçoğlu, known nationwide as the ‘Communist Mayor’, it has been revealed that he increased the debt of Tunceli Municipality from 67 million lira, when he took over, to 230 million lira during his term. Additionally, it was found that Maçoğlu hired 145 people during his 5-year term.

Tunceli Municipality’s Current Debt Status Announced

Cevdet Konak, who switched from TKP to the DEM Party in the local elections on March 31, announced the current debt status of the municipality at the Municipality Council Hall. The statement made by Konak was attended by deputy mayors, council members, and relevant unit managers.

• Current Debt Amount: 230,673,692 lira
• Income for 2023: 188 million lira
• Expense for 2023: 271 million lira
• Personnel Expenses: Equivalent to 84% of the gross budget

Municipality Mayor Konak stated, ‘A total of 145 people have been hired in the last 5 years. As the municipality administration, we will continue our efforts to effectively combat debts and provide better services to our people.’
