Sivas Commodity Exchange President Hayrullah Karakaya announced the prices and cutting fees for sacrificial animals ahead of the upcoming Eid al-Adha in Sivas, following a meeting held in the city. Karakaya stated that after the meeting with livestock breeders and slaughterhouse owners, the prices for sacrificial animals were determined.
Prices and Cutting Fees for Sacrificial Animals
- Live Weight Price of Bull: 280 TL
- Cow without Breeding Qualities: 270 TL
- Cow without Breeding Qualities: 250 TL
- Female Sheep: 250 TL
- Male Sheep: 280 TL
- Large Animal Slaughter Fee: 5,000 TL
- Small Animal Slaughter Fee: 1,500 TL
- Disassembly Fee: 3,000 TL
- Sharing Fee: 2,000 TL
- Meat Processing Fee: 15 TL
Additionally, Karakaya emphasized important points to consider when purchasing animals, stating, “Avoid purchasing animals without ear tags, without health reports, weak, pregnant, recently gave birth, with high fever, young, immature meat, or visibly unhealthy animals.”
Important Warnings and Recommendations
Karakaya advised citizens to have their meat processed by sanitary butchers rather than mobile individuals and stressed the need for stricter measures during Eid al-Adha for proper meat processing.
