The city of Elazığ has been struggling with heavy rainfall and storms in recent days. Following the warnings issued by the Meteorology 13th Regional Directorate, the resulting heavy rain and hail caused serious problems in many parts of the city.
Some areas turned into almost lakes, streets turned into rivers leading to vehicles getting stranded. Citizens in this situation had to cross using vegetable crates in the water.
Officials from the Meteorology 13th Regional Directorate stated that the expected heavy rainfall around Elazığ would increase especially from noon onwards. They warned the public to be cautious against risks such as flash floods, water inundation, lightning, landslides, transportation disruptions, local hailstorms, and strong winds.
