Resignation earthquake continues in the İYİ Party Trabzon organization. Due to the resignations at the İYİ Party Ortahisar District Presidency, the central district management also collapsed.
33 Board Members Resigned in the District Presidency
With the resignation of 33 out of 45 board members in the İYİ Party Ortahisar District Presidency, the district management collapsed. Following the Provincial Presidency, the Ortahisar District President also announced his resignation from the party.
They Supported Trabzon-native Presidential Candidate Koray Aydın
Stating that they supported candidate Koray Aydın at the extraordinary congress of the İYİ Party, District President Erdal Uzun said, “The İYİ Party Trabzon provincial organization, all our district organizations, our Founding Board Member, our Mayor, and our elected top council delegates stood firmly by Trabzon-native Presidential candidate Koray Aydın. We are sure that our stance has not been criticized by the elected Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu.”
Uzun also said, “According to the party regulations, the management has collapsed. We no longer have the opportunity to do politics in the İYİ Party with the political principles we believe in. We are taking a brave and principled stance because we cannot digest the disloyalty shown to him, the games played to obstruct his path, and all the injustices during the congress process that we have mentioned only a few examples of, independent of Koray Aydın.”
Stating that he resigned from the Presidency of the İYİ Party Ortahisar District, his duties in the organizations, and his party membership, Uzun announced, “The vast majority of the İYİ Party Ortahisar executives have resigned from both their duties and party memberships, and according to the party regulations, the management has collapsed.”
