Residents in Ankara Güdül are expecting assistance from the municipality following heavy rainfall

Yesterday evening, due to heavy rain in the Güdül district of Ankara, many houses and gardens were submerged under water. The residents affected by this situation expressed their reactions, stating that they could not receive the necessary assistance from the municipal teams.

Önder Özkan, who lives in Güneyce Neighborhood of Güdül district, stated that his house and garden were flooded by the flood waters. Özkan explained that the layer of mud formed in his house was 7-8 cm high, while in the garden it reached a height of about 60 cm, emphasizing that the municipal teams could not help them.

Özkan said, “I called many municipalities, complained about my problem, but no one said they could help. As a result of the heavy rain we experienced yesterday, our house was completely submerged under water. Our house turned into a swamp,” he said.
