A video that went viral on social media in Düzce led to an emotional reunion. Moments of a teacher skillfully repairing a burst volleyball, heard by Düzce University students. These students warmed hearts with their surprise visit to the Republic Primary School of Anadolu Development Foundation.
When Düzce University’s Dümerang community learned about the volleyball incident at the primary school in Yığılca district, they took action. Witnessing the ball bursting and the teacher sewing it by hand, the students collected from their allowances to buy new sports equipment. The community members prepared a surprise package full of volleyball, football, and basketballs, creating an unforgettable day for the primary school students.
Arzu Mansız, the manager of the Dümerang community, stated that they were moved to action by the impact of the video shared on social media. Mansız said, ‘We wanted to share in the joy of the children. By gifting them new sports equipment, we ensured they had a great day. We played games, left a mark in their hearts, and shared their happiness.’
