Labor and Solidarity Day on May 1st was celebrated with enthusiasm in Gaziosmanpaşa with halay dances and games. Mayor Hakan Bahçetepe, who gathered with the workers working in the municipality, took over the grill and treated the employees to a meal.
Celebration Program Details
The program organized at the Gaziosmanpaşa Municipality Department of Civil Works construction site was attended by Gaziosmanpaşa Mayor Hakan Bahçetepe, council members, municipal officials, union representatives, and workers employed by the municipality. In a spirited atmosphere accompanied by halay dances, folk dances, and horon dances, Mayor Bahçetepe congratulated the workers on Labor and Solidarity Day on May 1st.
In his speech, Mayor Bahçetepe said, “May 1st is the day of unity, solidarity, law, democracy, peace, brotherhood, and spring. We know that the efforts of you, my esteemed colleagues who work tirelessly for the development and beautification of Gaziosmanpaşa, are beyond all appreciation. We know that labor is the noblest value. Our workers, our laborers, we are all one family. Together, shoulder to shoulder, we will work together for a better future.”
Finally, Mayor Bahçetepe wished all workers and laborers a happy May 1st, full of health, happiness, and success.
