Heavy Rain in Malatya Paralyzed Traffic

After a brief rain shower in Malatya, some roads turned into literal lakes. The Meteorology Directorate had warned of heavy rainfall, and the rain that was effective around noon negatively affected life on the eastern side of the city. Following the rain at the İnönü University intersection, the roads were submerged, making it difficult for vehicles to move forward.

Some vehicles got stranded in the water, while pedestrians struggled to cross the roads. With the effect of the rain lasting about 10 minutes, puddles formed in the area, and meteorology officials stated that the rainfall would continue throughout the city until midnight.
