Fire Breaks Out at Electric Bike Factory in Adana

A fire that broke out in an electric bicycle factory located on the Tarsus road in Adana was brought under control after a great struggle. The fire had engulfed the entire factory for reasons yet to be determined.

40 Fire Trucks Responded to the Fire

In addition to the Adana Metropolitan Municipality fire brigade teams, fire trucks from the districts also intervened in the fire. A total of 40 fire trucks, Adana Metropolitan Municipality and Regional Directorate of Forestry water tenders, 6 TOMAs, and many other heavy machinery vehicles fought the fire. After a challenging battle lasting 2.5 hours, the fire was brought under control.

Efforts to Prevent the Fire from Spreading to Other Factories with Heavy Machinery

To prevent the fire from spreading to other factories, heavy machinery vehicles dug trenches around the burnt factory as a precaution. While a large part of the factory suffered damage, hundreds of electric bicycles were affected by the fire. Some bicycles were rescued by the factory workers to prevent them from being damaged.

Investigation on the Cause of the Fire

As the investigation continues, the cause of the fire has not yet been determined. Cooling operations are ongoing at the factory, while work on the details of the fire continues.
