Disruption in Metro Services in Ankara

Heavy rainfall that hit Ankara yesterday evening had a negative impact on the capital’s transportation. Due to the thunderstorm, metro services were disrupted in Ankara Metro. The metro line operating between Yenimahalle and Atatürk Cultural Center stations went out of service.
Due to a flood at Akköprü Station of Ankara Metro, services could not be provided between Yenimahalle and Atatürk Cultural Center stations. The General Directorate of Electricity Gas Bus (EGO) made the following statement regarding the issue: “Due to the heavy rainfall affecting Ankara, the water level at Akköprü Station has reached a critical level. Therefore, transportation between Atatürk Cultural Center and Yenimahalle stations will be provided by shuttle buses.”
Furthermore, due to the interruption on metro lines yesterday, services could not be operated between OSB Törekent and Atatürk Cultural Center stations as well.
