Competition Held Within the Scope of the ‘Mathematics Everywhere’ Project in Tokat
Within the scope of the ‘Mathematics Everywhere’ project carried out by the Provincial Directorate of National Education under the auspices of the Tokat Governorship, a competition titled ‘Prepare Your Work; Compete in Class, School, District, and Provincial Finals’ was organized. Students showcased their talents in the central district final.
Improvement of Students’ Mathematics and Technology Skills
The competition allowed students to enhance their problem-solving skills, learn project development stages, and socialize. Students improved their mathematics and technology design skills using their own designs and showcased these skills through the competition. A total of 108 students participated in the competition, while 60,000 students joined the project in the provincial finals.
Hüseyin Kır, the Director of National Education in Tokat, emphasized that the competition is a significant example of game-based learning in education, stating, ‘Our children are demonstrating a beautiful example of learning by designing, implementing, and competing.’
Ibrahim Yıldırım, the Coordinator of Mathematics Projects at the Research and Development Unit of the National Education Directorate, mentioned that the competition provides students with a fun gaming environment to enhance their talents and engineering skills.
