Despite heavy rainfall in Ankara, May 1st International Workers’ Day was celebrated with enthusiasm. The event took place in Anadolu Square. Political party representatives, workers, unions, and civil society organizations who gathered at Atatürk Cultural Center in the morning, reached the square with a lively march.

Citizens were taken to the square after a body search conducted by the police teams. Despite the heavy rain, the people of Ankara continued the celebrations with determination.

The section of Anıt Avenue between Turgut Reis Avenue and Anadolu Square, along with the surrounding streets, were closed to traffic during the event. Additionally, Anadolu Square Ankaray Stop was also closed to traffic throughout the event.

The day-long celebrations concluded with a rally and a music concert. Participants once again uplifted the spirit of labor and solidarity.
