The opening ceremony was held yesterday for the new bus station that was put into service in Çünür Neighborhood of Isparta. Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mayor Şükrü Başdeğirmen said, ‘We are happy to fulfill another promise we made. We are also building an underground parking lot, a square on top, and a library in the area where the old bus station is located.’
Intense Participation in the Opening Ceremony
The last trip was made yesterday from Isparta Intercity Bus Terminal in Bahçelievler Neighborhood of Isparta. The new bus station in Çünür Neighborhood was also put into service yesterday, and the first bus trips were made. The official opening ceremony of the new bus station, where the first trips took place, was held today. Governor Aydın Baruş, AK Party Isparta Deputy Mehmet Uğur Gökgöz, Mayor Şükrü Başdeğirmen, and many other significant figures attended the ceremony.
Expressing their happiness in fulfilling another promise, Mayor Şükrü Başdeğirmen of Isparta stated that the old bus station was located in the middle of the city. He emphasized that they consulted with the tradesmen in preparing the new bus station and worked for their satisfaction.
Governor Aydın Baruş, speaking at the opening ceremony of the new bus station, stated that the modern bus station will add value to Isparta and mentioned that there are projects for the evaluation of the old bus station area.
After prayers and cutting the opening ribbon, the protocol members visited the offices and businesses, wishing the new bus station to be auspicious.
