The Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Meteorology General Directorate 15th Regional Directorate issued a heavy rainfall warning in 6 cities in the Southeastern Anatolia Region.
According to the statement made by the Regional Directorate of Meteorology, thunderstorms and heavy rainfall are expected to be effective on Thursday in Diyarbakır, Mardin, Batman, Siirt, Şırnak surroundings, and the eastern parts of Şanlıurfa (Siverek, Hilvan, Karaköprü, Haliliye, Eyyübiye, Harran, Viranşehir, Ceylanpınar, Akçakale). It is predicted that the rainfall will start around noon and may be locally intense intermittently.
Officials emphasized that citizens need to be cautious and take precautions against potential risks such as flash floods, waterlogging, lightning, local hailstorms, strong winds, and transportation disruptions.
