Three new Turkish records were broken at the Inter-Club Senior Turkish Championship in Finswimming organized by the Turkish Underwater Sports Federation (TSSF) in Istanbul. The excitement was at its peak at the championship held at the GSIM Tozkoparan Olympic Swimming Pool in Istanbul between April 26-28.
New Turkish Records
Masal Özgü Koyuncu from Istanbul Water and Nature Sports Club managed to break two separate new Turkish records in the youth 14-15 and 16-17 age groups with her time of 50.77 seconds in the 100-meter bi-fins event. In the men’s category, Arda Karacabay from Bakırköy Ata Sports Club set a new Turkish record in the 16-17 age group by completing the 50m bi-fins race in 20.13 seconds.
Champion Athletes and Clubs
In the magnificent event where 21 sports clubs from 21 different cities competed, 3 athletes achieved a total of 12 championships. The most successful female athlete was Adasu Ramazanoğlu from Bakırköy Ata Sports Club. Bakırköy Ata Sports Club stood out as the most successful team in the men’s category.
