New Turkey Records Broken
New records have been broken in Turkey! Witness the country’s proud achievements in sports, entertainment, art, and more filled content.

At the Inter-Club Senior Turkish Championship in Finswimming organized by the Turkish Underwater Sports Federation (TSSF) in Istanbul, 3 new Turkish records were broken during the competitions held at the GSIM Tozkoparan Olympic Swimming Pool from April 26th to 28th. In the women’s category, Masal Özgü Koyuncu from Istanbul Water and Nature Sports Club broke two separate records in the 100m bi-fins for the age groups of 14-15 and 16-17, while in the men’s category, Arda Karacabay from Bakırköy Ata Sports Club completed the 50m bi-fins race in the 16-17 age group setting a new Turkish record.
Champions and Successful Sports Clubs
A total of 219 athletes, 89 women and 130 men, competed in surface swimming, bi-fins, immersion, and tube disciplines. Adasu Ramazanoğlu from Bakırköy Ata Sports Club achieved the most championships in the women’s category. In the men’s category, Bakırköy Ata Sports Club took the first place. According to the team rankings based on their sports achievements, Bakırköy Ata Sports Club ranked first in both women’s and men’s categories, while other successful clubs also found their place in the rankings.
President of TSSF Fatih Uysal stated that the organization was successful, saying, “Finswimming is a successful discipline internationally. The new records demonstrate the potential of our young talents. I congratulate all our athletes and clubs.”
Vice President of TSSF Kadir Sağlam congratulated the athletes wholeheartedly, stating, “The achievements of our athletes are pride-inducing. I thank our clubs and extend our gratitude to all relevant institutions for their support.”
