Muhammed Dursun: “We Will Become Champions in Dubai!”

Kickboxer Muhammed Dursun stated that he is preparing for the match in Dubai, saying, “This year my weight and form will be 130. We will go out, become champions again, and return to our country,” he said.

Goals and Preparation Processes

National kickboxing champion Muhammed Dursun, the holder of the gold belt, made statements to İhlas News Agency (İHA) reporter about his upcoming preparations and goals. Dursun, who stated that he will have a championship fight in Dubai around September – October, said, “I have a preparation process for Dubai, I am getting ready for it, we had the month of Ramadan ahead, we passed Ramadan and I will have a slightly different form this year until I reach 130 kilos and I will compete in this weight category. Currently, my training processes are going well, my form is good because as you know, my opponent did not show up and the title came directly to me. We won the title without getting tired. I will fight in Dubai around September-October. I will have a preparation process there. I am currently in Istanbul, and I will go to Iran in 2 days. I have training camps ahead of me,” he said.

“Hopefully I will become a champion in China”
Speaking about his schedule and goals for this year, Dursun said, “We signed a contract for Dubai, we came. I will be in the ring in Dubai around September-October. Before that, through Mehmet Müftüoğlu, one of Turkey’s biggest organizers, I received an offer for a match from China, and hopefully, if nothing goes wrong, I will fight in China. I will compete in the heavyweight category there and I believe I will also become a champion there, but for me, the most important thing in this process is Dubai. Because why, Dubai is where many of the world’s best fighters in many combat sports are located,” he said.

The national boxer concluded his statements as follows: “You know, 6 months ago in my last match, I was 110 kilos and now I am 130 kilos and I feel very good right now. My form and weight this year will be 130 kilos and I will fight like this. I am a fighter who has fought in many parts of the world and I have many international rankings. Hopefully, we will go out again, become champions again, and return to our country.”
