President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held an important meeting with the leader of the MHP, Devlet Bahçeli. Their latest meeting came after a phone call they made on the occasion of the Ramadan Bayram.
This meeting, which took place at the Presidential residence in Çankaya, was the first face-to-face meeting after the local elections on March 31. The meeting, which lasted about 45 minutes in total, concluded with Bahçeli accompanying President Erdoğan to the door of the residence.
The two leaders had met twice earlier this year. Their most recent meeting was on January 11 in Beştepe. They had also met on February 6 at the ceremony for the earthquake houses in Kahramanmaraş.
After the visit, Bahçeli posed for the press and made statements about the meeting.
Meanwhile, it is expected that President Erdoğan will have a meeting with the leader of the CHP, Özgür Özel, later this week.
