Fatih Karagümrük manager Tolunay Kafkas stated about the Antalyaspor victory, ‘Winning was very important for us. I strongly believe that if we win 2 out of the remaining 4 matches, we will stay in the league.’
Kafkas: ‘We have the power to win every match’
Regarding the upcoming match against Kayserispor next week and the remaining part of the league, Kafkas said the following: ‘We want to win in Kayseri. We have an advantage; we are on the rise as we enter the last 4 weeks. Both in terms of results and gameplay. If we can turn this into a positive, we have a team that has the power to win every match. I believe that 37-38 and 40 points are in danger in the league.’
Kafkas: ‘We made changes that were not in our game plan’
Pointing out the positional errors in the match, Kafkas said, ‘We are playing very stressful and tense matches. Every match feels like a final. This game was not as we wanted compared to previous matches but the result is important. Especially our team had a high pressing power. There are reasons why we couldn’t do it completely. Our injured players are gradually returning. We made some positional errors. In a certain part of the game, we left the ball to the opponent and tried to control it. Actually, it was not in our game plan but we made changes. Ultimately, winning was very important for us. I strongly believe that if we win 2 out of the remaining 4 matches, we will stay in the league. I also wish success to Antalyaspor and Coach Sergen.’
