Mayor Mehmet Saygılı stated that employment in the defense industry factories, which continue to develop with investments, is increasing. Kırıkkale, which attracts attention with the investments of the Machinery and Chemical Industry Corporation (MKE) and the private sector in the Weapons Specialization Organized Industrial Zone, continues its rise in the defense industry. The factories in the city, which has become one of Turkey’s most important defense industry centers, employ a large number of people. Factories operating in the defense industry also play a major role in the development of Kırıkkale. Through its investment on a 9,500-acre land, Roketsan will strengthen the country’s defense industry with new generation weapon technologies.

Mayor Mehmet Saygılı stated to an Anadolu Agency correspondent that Kırıkkale has become the focal point of Turkey’s defense industry. Saygılı noted that alongside the Machinery and Chemical Industry Corporation, the private sector has also made investments in the defense industry, and he expressed that Kırıkkale is rapidly progressing towards becoming the focal point of Turkey’s defense industry.

Our city was formed with the establishment of Machinery and Chemical Industry factories. In recent years, with the investments made in the defense industry fields, Kırıkkale has become the focal point of Turkey’s defense industry. Roketsan’s very large investment is still ongoing in Kırıkkale. Our Weapons Organized Industrial Zone is growing and developing every day.”

“Employment gateway for our youth”
Saygılı, stating that the most important employment in Kırıkkale is in the defense industry, said, “This continues to grow and develop. Hopefully, with the studies conducted in the defense industry together with Roketsan and its subcontractors, Kırıkkale will continue to be a gateway of employment for our youth. The ammunition depots of the land forces are also in Kırıkkale, we have our Brigade. The Gendarmerie also chose Kırıkkale. Under the Logistics Command, the Gendarmerie General Command is establishing a large facility on a 15,000-acre land. In this respect, we are hopeful that it will make a significant contribution to our city.”
