Examining the ongoing construction of Sancaktepe City Hospital, Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said, “A plan has been made for city hospitals to be available in all our major cities, that is, in all 33 of our major cities. Similar city hospitals will be built in Muğla, Malatya, and Van, and thus, city hospitals will be available in all our major cities. Additionally, there are currently plans for three additional city hospitals in Istanbul. The city hospital, which has the largest capacity in Turkey, is currently under construction in Sancaktepe, where we are now. The total bed capacity of this hospital will be 4,100. As you know, Feriha Öz Emergency Hospital is also being integrated with this hospital. Feriha Öz Emergency Hospital had 1,008 beds. We will have a total health campus with 5,108 beds. This capacity is the largest city hospital capacity built in Turkey. The Spring project is a center for rehabilitation for dependent patients. Here, along with Amatem, Çematem, and their lodgings, there will be a spring center. The tender for this has also been made. The section you see behind me, which is under construction, is the area where the spring center will be located. The construction of multi-story villas is also rapidly ongoing. We aim to rapidly put the Spring project into operation within the next 6 months. With its capacity, the structure where Amatem, Çamatem, and the rehabilitation center for dependent patients are located together will be a new generation Spring project, making it the first of its kind in the world.”
